What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of 4-8 engineers, fostering individual growth and operational excellence.
• Partner with product management to scope and deliver high-impact features for VPP optimization.
• Champion a full-service ownership culture from design through deployment and operational health.
• Utilize data-driven metrics like DORA to improve software delivery and system reliability.
• Collaborate with engineering leadership to solve cross-team technical and architectural challenges.
• Balance technical trade-offs with business requirements to ensure long-term scalability.

Requirements

• Proven track record of driving agile delivery practices and improving team velocity.
• Ability to engage in technical discussions at a system and architecture level.
• Experience managing or leading a team of software engineers.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to set clear expectations and priorities.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP and modern SaaS architectures.
• Familiarity with distributed systems or Databricks.
• Background in energy, utilities, grid technology, or climate tech.
