Location: Must be based in the United States
Salary: $198,000–$240,000 USD + bonus

What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of 4-8 engineers, fostering individual growth and operational excellence.
- Partner with product management to scope and deliver high-impact features for VPP optimization.
- Champion a full-service ownership culture from design through deployment and operational health.
- Utilize data-driven metrics like DORA to improve software delivery and system reliability.
- Collaborate with engineering leadership to solve cross-team technical and architectural challenges.
- Balance technical trade-offs with business requirements to ensure long-term scalability.
Requirements
- Proven track record of driving agile delivery practices and improving team velocity.
- Ability to engage in technical discussions at a system and architecture level.
- Experience managing or leading a team of software engineers.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to set clear expectations and priorities.
- Must be authorized to work in the United States.
Nice to have
- Experience with cloud platforms like AWS or GCP and modern SaaS architectures.
- Familiarity with distributed systems or Databricks.
- Background in energy, utilities, grid technology, or climate tech.
- Prior hands-on engineering experience in software design and testing.
