Engineering Manager (DevOps/SRE): Leading a team of SREs to ensure the reliability and scalability of a massive-scale cloud-native security platform with an accent on distributed systems, automation, and incident management. Location: Must be based in or able to commute to Sunnyvale, CA (Hybrid: 2+ days/week in office)
Salary: $140,000–$215,000 per year

What you will do
- Lead and mentor a team of SRE/Platform engineers in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
- Ensure high levels of reliability, uptime, and performance for large-scale distributed systems.
- Drive system reliability by blending software engineering principles with AI-driven automation.
- Manage incident response, facilitate blameless postmortems, and own reliability strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve cloud-native reliability patterns.
Requirements
- Must be able to work 2+ days per week in the Sunnyvale office.
- 10+ years of software engineering experience with a focus on reliability and infrastructure.
- 3+ years of hands-on management experience leading SRE or Platform engineering teams.
- Deep understanding of SRE principles including SLOs, SLAs, and error budgeting.
- Proficiency in at least one major cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
- Strong background in incident management and large-scale distributed systems.
Nice to have
- Proficiency in Golang.
- Experience with Kubernetes at scale and service mesh technologies.
- Familiarity with data streaming platforms like Apache Kafka or Apache Flink.
- Advanced observability experience with Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK/Splunk.
- Experience with chaos engineering and resilience validation.
