TL;DR

Renewable Development Engineer (Renewable Energy): Designing and supporting preliminary PV, BESS, and Wind projects with an accent on electrical and civil design. Focus on creating constraint files for project feasibility, developing layouts, and performing electrical studies to meet client technical requirements.

Location: Remote or Lakewood, CO. Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis

What you will do

  • Design preliminary PV, BESS, and Wind projects (0-30% design level) across the US.
  • Create constraint files to determine project feasibility and develop project layouts.
  • Perform preliminary cable and DC design as well as civil grading and drainage.
  • Conduct EE studies, including load flow, ampacity, losses, and short circuit analysis.
  • Provide high-level Bill of Materials for civil infrastructure, electrical materials, and foundations.
  • Collaborate with Proposal teams and SMEs to establish project pricing and technical support.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, or Civil Engineering.
  • 2–6 years of relevant engineering or field experience.
  • Proficiency in energy modeling using PVsyst.
  • Experience with AutoCAD (PVCase preferred).
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office including Excel, Word, and Project.

Nice to have

  • FE or PE licensure.
