What you will do

  • Achieve and exceed revenue targets for SMRT sequencing products within the assigned Japanese territory.
  • Develop and execute territory-specific sales plans while managing and mentoring channel partners and dealers.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers and economic buyers in clinical research.
  • Collaborate with internal operations, marketing, and technical support teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Maintain accurate business documentation and revenue forecasting within Salesforce (SFDC).
  • Conduct effective customer visits, seminars, and presentations to update stakeholders on technology developments.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Tokyo with the ability to travel at least 50% of the time.
  • Minimum 5+ years of direct sales experience in high-end capital instrumentation within life sciences or clinical research.
  • Scientific or Technical Degree required; advanced degree preferred.
  • Strong understanding of Japanese purchasing processes and ability to influence complex organizational buying decisions.
  • English proficiency sufficient for internal communication and native-level Japanese for local market operations.
  • Not eligible for visa sponsorship.
