Salary: $181,000 - $241,000 CAD

What you will do

  • Lead and manage a team of engineering managers and software engineers, fostering growth through coaching and feedback.
  • Define and execute a long-term technical roadmap aligned with business growth.
  • Establish OKRs and metrics to measure team success and productivity.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and analytics teams to manage technical sustainability and project trade-offs.
  • Own the availability and performance of critical customer-facing systems.
  • Drive hiring and onboarding efforts to build a diverse, high-performing team.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Canada
  • 6-8+ years of experience in software engineering, including 3+ years in a leadership or management role.
  • Experience designing and launching backend systems at scale using Python, Kotlin, AWS, MySQL, and Kubernetes.
  • Experience developing web applications with declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.
  • Proven track record in stakeholder management and delivering consumer-facing software.
  • Hands-on technical leadership ability, including code reviews and architectural guidance.
