What you will do

• Build an AI-native claims management platform covering disability and property insurance.
• Design core claims lifecycles including FNOL, AI-assisted triage, and payout flows.
• Develop and maintain integrations with carrier systems and internal policy platforms.
• Manage financial modules for claims, including reconciliation and regulatory reporting.
• Partner with operations teams to automate manual, spreadsheet-driven processes.
• Ensure system correctness, observability, and auditability in a regulated environment.

Requirements

• 3+ years of professional software engineering experience, preferably with TypeScript and AWS.
• Strong fundamentals in distributed systems, state machines, and API design.
• Ability to translate complex carrier requirements and legal obligations into software.
• High bar for data integrity, audit trails, and system correctness.
• Ownership mindset and ability to operate production systems.
• Must be based in or able to work on-site in Amsterdam.

Nice to have

• Experience with insurance or health claim workflows.
• Background in regulated domains like fintech, insurtech, or legal tech.
• Experience building operational tooling for non-technical teams.
• Strong observability instincts using tools like Sentry or Datadog.
