Location: Fully remote for candidates based in Germany, the UK, Portugal, the Netherlands, or Spain. If based in the EU, temporary work from abroad is permitted for up to 180 days per year.

What you will do

• Design and maintain server-side applications and database architecture.
• Develop new backend features and enhance the existing codebase using Node.js, TypeScript, Express, and MongoDB.
• Collaborate with frontend developers and cross-functional teams to support a seamless user experience.
• Review code and improve application performance, reliability, and system efficiency.
• Develop and deploy reusable, testable code and automated tests.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Node.js, plus strong proficiency in TypeScript and Express.
• Practical experience with NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable vocational training.
• Proactive problem-solving skills, adaptability, and effective collaboration in cross-functional teams.
• Application must be submitted in English.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services including S3, ECS, and EC2.
• Experience with Docker, Terraform, or NestJS.
