Senior Backend Engineer (AI)

Location: Fully remote; candidates must be based in Germany, the UK, Portugal, the Netherlands, or Spain

What you will do

• Develop new features and enhance the existing backend codebase.
• Design and maintain server-side applications and database architecture.
• Collaborate with frontend developers to support a seamless user experience.
• Review and improve code quality, system efficiency, and reliability.
• Develop and deploy reusable, testable code and automated tests.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Node.js.
• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and Express.
• Practical experience with NoSQL databases, preferably MongoDB.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming principles.
• Degree in Computer Science or a related field, or comparable vocational training.
• Proactive problem-solving skills, adaptability, and effective cross-functional collaboration.

Nice to have

• Experience with AWS services including S3, ECS, and EC2.
• Docker and Terraform experience.
• Previous experience with NestJS.
