Location: Must be based in San Mateo, CA. This is a hybrid role requiring in-office presence three days per week (Tuesday - Thursday).

Compensation: $183,500–$240,870 USD Base Salary.

What you will do

• Develop and execute HR transformation strategies focused on AI innovation and future workforce needs.
• Direct the design, development, and integration of new HR technologies, including Workday enhancements and AI models.
• Identify and redesign processes to maximize efficiency and employee experience through intelligent automation.
• Establish governance, standards, and best practices for AI solutioning and deployment.
• Provide oversight for complex AI-driven transformation initiatives, partnering with the PMO to ensure successful delivery.
• Build and maintain strong partnerships with stakeholders across HR, IT, and Legal.

Requirements

• 10+ years of progressive experience with Workday, including HRIS support and optimization.
• Proven success managing large-scale transformation, change, and technology implementation initiatives.
• Strong knowledge of HR principles, processes, and emerging HR technologies.
• Familiarity with AI/ML, automation, NLP, and chatbots, including the ability to design and configure AI agents.
• Skilled in design thinking, solution architecture, and agile delivery.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.

Nice to have

• Exposure to AI Agent or Intelligent Automation tools combining RPA with NLP or decision engines.
• Workday implementation experience in Absence Management, Advanced Compensation, Benefits, Payroll, or Time Tracking.
• Exposure to AI ethics, responsible AI practices, and data privacy frameworks.
