What you will do

• Provide primary support for EVS systems including XT-VIA, IPDirector, and XSquare for live production and newsroom workflows.
• Troubleshoot broadcast production systems across baseband and SMPTE 2110 IP signal flows.
• Maintain reliability of core infrastructure, including routing, graphics, audio, and intercom, in a 24/7 environment.
• Collaborate with design engineering on system upgrades and technology refresh initiatives.
• Create and maintain detailed technical documentation for EVS workflows and system dependencies.
• Respond to on-call technical support requests for studio and control room operations.

Requirements

• 2+ years of recent experience supporting live television production environments.
• 2+ years of experience supporting EVS systems and server-based broadcast platforms.
• 2+ years of experience with SMPTE 2110 standards, preferably in an Evertz environment.
• Strong understanding of TCP/IP protocols, multicast, VLANs, and common IP troubleshooting tools.
• Knowledge of HDSDI, AES, MADI, and audio-over-IP technologies (Dante, Ravenna).
• Must be willing to work rotational shifts, including evenings, overnights, weekends, and holidays.
• Requirement to join the NABET Local 11 union upon employment.

Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Broadcasting, or a related field.
• Experience with Evertz control systems such as Magnum, EXE Routers, and SDVN.
• Familiarity with Sony production switchers, Calrec/Lawo audio, and VizRT/Ross XPression graphics.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, or ServiceNow.
