What you will do
- Develop design concepts, preliminary designs, and detailed designs for the transmission subsystem across the entire product lifecycle.
- Align technical solutions with the overall drivetrain system architecture and turbine-level requirements.
- Coordinate and align technical decisions with the System Lead Drivetrain and interdisciplinary stakeholders.
- Manage and maintain subsystem requirements in compliance with system and product specifications.
- Create technical documentation, design releases, and engineering specifications according to PEP processes.
- Define subsystem test specifications and maintain DFMEA, including the identification of CTQs.
Requirements
- Completed degree in mechanical engineering, mechatronics, or an equivalent qualification.
- At least 5 years of experience in drivetrain or main gearbox design for wind turbines.
- Solid experience in systems engineering, verification, and validation of complex technical systems.
- Strong knowledge of DFMEA methodologies and assessment of CTQs.
- Understanding of relevant technical standards, particularly ISO/IEC.
- Must be based in or able to work from Hamburg or Rostock, Germany.
