Salary: $184,500 - $258,000 (Potential up to $295,000 based on performance)

What you will do

• Own platform architecture, design, and delivery of solutions for automated risk decisioning and remediation.
• Establish high standards for technical operations, including SLOs, observability, and safety/rollback mechanisms.
• Lead the integration of Generative and Agentic AI into fraud detection workflows to modernize the platform.
• Partner with Data Science and ML Scientists on feature development, experimentation, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with Product and Operations teams to translate functional requirements into technical specifications.
• Mentor and coach engineers, helping them achieve their career aspirations and build ambitious teams.

Requirements

• Must be based in the US and authorized to work (E-Verify participant).
• 9+ years of software engineering experience, including 2+ years in an engineering leadership role.
• Strong background in distributed cloud-native engineering at scale (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and microservices.
• Experience with SQL/NoSQL databases and data streaming technologies like Kafka, Flink, or Spark.
• Proficiency in one or more of Java, Scala, Go, or Python.
• Demonstrated experience in guiding teams toward technical operations excellence.

Nice to have

• Proven experience building and operating production fraud and risk systems or other AI-heavy systems.
• Track record of reducing manual operations via automation and platform simplification.
• Experience with RAG-based architectures, LLMs, and multi-agent applications.
