End User Support (IT)

End User Support (IT): Providing a single point of contact for technical support and maintenance of the desktop computing environment with an accent on hardware diagnostics and software troubleshooting. Focus on managing cross-platform environments (Windows, iOS), maintaining workstation performance, and ensuring secure network access for users.

Location: Hybrid, Bracknell / Hartlepool, United Kingdom. Must have pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.

What you will do

• Provide onsite and remote technical support for staff across Windows and iOS environments.
• Install, diagnose, repair, and upgrade hardware including PCs, terminals, printers, and scanners.
• Document, track, and monitor all issues via the ISM Helpdesk system to ensure timely resolution.
• Procure, configure, and maintain laptops, peripherals, mobile technology, and printers.
• Facilitate secure network access for remote users and provide professional technical advice.
• Identify opportunities for improvement and suggest constructive changes to IT processes.

Requirements

• Experience with software and hardware troubleshooting for Windows 10 and 11.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of laptop/desktop hardware (RAM, SSD/HDD).
• Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK (documentary evidence required).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to operate with minimal supervision and manage priorities effectively under stress.
• Capable of working effectively in a team environment with both technical and non-technical members.

Nice to have

• Experience using Active Directory for account creation and password resets.
• Experience with Microsoft Intune or Entra.
