What you will do

• Design and implement embedded control systems for PFC, grid-tie/grid-forming inverters, bidirectional chargers, and DC/DC converters.
• Validate design concepts through computer simulations and hands-on laboratory testing.
• Create automated test cases for hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) modelling and testing.
• Perform board bring-up and develop device drivers for CAN, I2C, and SPI protocols.
• Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards, including UL, IEC, and SAE.

Requirements

• 6+ years of experience developing Power Electronics products.
• Proficiency in C/C++, Assembly for 32-bit controllers, DSP, and Python for scripting.
• Experience implementing control code for power converters (PI, PR, droop) without code generation tools.
• Strong skills in modelling and simulation using PLECS, MATLAB, and Simulink.
• Must be based in Campbell, CA.
• Experience with grid-tie inverter systems such as solar, BESS, or EVSE.

Nice to have

• Experience with the TI C2000 DSP family.
• Proficiency in FPGA programming and simulation techniques.
