Sr. Financial Analyst (Media)

What you will do

• Perform day-to-day revenue and cost management analysis using general ledger reports and cost trackers.
• Execute monthly close journal entries, including production cost accruals, revenue deferrals, and balance sheet management.
• Develop dashboard reporting on production expenses (labor, T&E, freelance) for Executive Producers and Editors.
• Manage Compensation and Benefits (C&B) tracking, including corporate headcount and bi-weekly payroll variance analysis.
• Support revenue modeling for the DTC subscription business and manage related production expenses.
• Load quarterly estimates into BPC and prepare comprehensive variance analysis explanations.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• 2+ years of relevant professional experience.
• Advanced computer and analytical skills, specifically in Excel and PowerPoint.
• Must be based in or able to work from the New York, NY office (hybrid, 4 days/week).

Nice to have

• Familiarity with SAP/BPC or similar accounting and financial reporting software.
• Interest in television production and the TODAY/NBC News brands.
