What you will do

• Optimize IndyCar vehicle performance during race and testing sessions.
• Develop and enhance simulation and support tools for Chevrolet-powered race teams.
• Collaborate with race teams to implement performance strategies.
• Analyze telemetry and sensor data to identify performance improvements.
• Provide real-time engineering feedback during race events.
• Contribute to Driver-in-the-Loop (DiL) simulator operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering (3+ years experience) or Master's degree (1+ year experience).
• Experience in IndyCar or similar high-performance racing series.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Pi Toolbox, and MoTeC.
• Deep understanding of vehicle dynamics, aerodynamics (balance, drag vs downforce), and powertrain systems.
• Experience in tire modeling (wear/degradation) and setup development (springs, dampers, ARB, alignment).
• Must be based in or able to report to the local office in Concord, North Carolina.
