What you will do

• Apply software updates and perform technology upgrades across on-premises and cloud-based systems.
• Install new software and troubleshoot related deployment issues.
• Proactively monitor metrics to address database performance and backup concerns.
• Provide professional technical support and innovative solutions to customers via video, phone, and email.
• Collaborate with Networks, UNIX, and Cloud Ops teams to maintain infrastructure.
• Develop automation to improve operational outcomes and process efficiency.

Requirements

• Experience with Oracle Database Management and upgrades for single-instance environments.
• Ability to install and maintain software on Solaris, Linux, or Windows Server.
• Experience deploying Apache Tomcat-based web applications.
• Proficiency in diagnosing performance issues using STATSPACK and OCI Analytics.
• Familiarity with ITSM processes and tools such as ServiceNow or Ivanti.
• Eligibility for UK Security Clearance and pre-existing right to work in the UK.

Nice to have

• Expertise in Apache Web Server configuration and management.
• Proficiency in Unix shell scripting for administrative automation.
• Experience with Ansible for managing roles and automation.
• Knowledge of scripted database backups and recovery.
• Familiarity with Microsoft IIS Web Server and network architecture.
• Oracle Certification.
