What you will do

• Supervise newsroom personnel and editorial content, determining story angles and rundown priorities.
• Manage content distribution across multiple platforms to ensure timely delivery.
• Assign stories to reporters and coordinate with managers to ensure coverage goals are met.
• Provide leadership and coaching to producers, reinforcing brand identity and editorial fundamentals.
• Collaborate with the director of multiplatform content to execute digital-exclusive projects.
• Implement performance management processes to train, motivate, and develop staff.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience.
• At least 3 years of news management experience leading direct reports.
• Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States.
• Must be willing to work on-site in West Hartford, CT.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends, holidays, and overnights (24/7 shift).
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage staff under pressure.
