What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain Power BI reports, dashboards, and semantic models.
• Configure and manage row-level security (RLS) to ensure HIPAA compliance.
• Optimize BI solutions for performance using import mode, DirectQuery, and aggregations.
• Write and maintain T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and views to support reporting needs.
• Own the full BI build lifecycle, from requirements gathering to delivery and documentation.
• Provide technical mentorship to associate and mid-level developers.

Requirements

• 5+ years of hands-on Power BI development experience.
• Strong proficiency in T-SQL and Microsoft SQL Server (2016+).
• Expert-level knowledge of Power BI performance optimization and semantic modeling.
• Experience with Azure data services (Azure SQL, Azure Synapse, Azure Data Factory).
• Demonstrated ownership of HIPAA, HITRUST, or SOC 2 compliance in a BI context.
• Ability to manage project delivery independently and engage directly with stakeholders.

Nice to have

• Background in healthcare technology or regulated industries.
• Microsoft Power BI Data Analyst (PL-300) certification.
• Experience with Python for data preparation or automation.
• Familiarity with dbt or similar SQL-based transformation tools.
• Proficiency using AI tooling to accelerate development and documentation.
