What you will do

• Provide technical leadership for a scrum team, balancing hands-on coding with priority setting and team management.
• Diagnose and optimize poorly performing SQL and Oracle queries, including execution plan analysis and indexing strategies.
• Drive an AI-first engineering culture by integrating agentic development tools into daily workflows and coaching the team.
• Directly manage 4-5 engineers, owning performance feedback, 1:1s, and career development.
• Interface with client stakeholders to translate complex business problems into platform-generic reporting capabilities.
• Collaborate with architects and QA to ensure high-quality delivery and adherence to engineering standards.

Requirements

• 8-10+ years of software engineering experience specializing in BI, reporting, and SQL in enterprise SaaS environments.
• Expert-level Oracle SQL and PL/SQL skills, including experience with materialized views and partitioning.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Cognos.
• Proven experience in a technical lead capacity and direct people management.
• Demonstrated AI-first mindset with experience using tools like GitHub Copilot or Devin.AI.
• Must be based in the USA or Canada.

Nice to have

• Direct experience with Logi Analytics (Logi Symphony).
• Background in financial services, equity compensation, or regulated domains.
• Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or equivalent Agile certification.
• Experience with Azure cloud data services and cloud-native reporting.
