Location: Hybrid (UK). Must be based in the UK (offices in London, Leeds, Manchester, Birmingham, or Hemel Hempstead) with a requirement to spend 60% of time in-office or on-site with clients.

What you will do

  • Drive the growth of the UK transport development planning business through existing accounts and new client acquisition.
  • Lead the technical delivery and national leadership of high-quality transport development planning work.
  • Win and direct large, complex projects and proposals as a bid or project director.
  • Manage the financial and commercial performance of specific market areas and geographies.
  • Represent clients as an expert witness and at public inquiries.
  • Mentor and supervise team members to foster professional growth.

Requirements

  • Proven track record in transport development planning within a consultancy career.
  • Strong network of contacts and a demonstrated history of business development in the UK.
  • Experience leading stakeholder engagement with local authorities, politicians, and senior officials.
  • Ability to lead the production and delivery of complex proposals and marketing materials.
  • Proven project delivery experience in both the private and public sectors.
  • Must be based in the UK to support the hybrid work model.
