Location: Remote (US). If the candidate lives within a specific mile radius of a GM hub, they will be expected to report to the location three times a week.

Salary: $106,600 - $163,400

What you will do

• Lead the end-to-end development of new BESS modules from concept through production launch.
• Define module architecture, technical requirements, and executable development plans.
• Own module-level integration across cells, structures, thermal management, and electrical interfaces.
• Drive technical tradeoff studies balancing performance, cost, safety, and reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, validation, and supply chain.
• Identify technical risks and lead issue resolution to ensure program success.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering required.
• 5+ years of product engineering experience.
• Proven success leading the technical development of battery modules, packs, or electrified products.
• Strong understanding of module subsystems including thermal management and sensing.
• Demonstrated ability to lead through influence across cross-functional teams.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice to have

• Master of Science in Engineering or related technical field.
• Experience with stationary energy storage systems or high-voltage battery products.
• Hands-on experience with design-for-manufacturing in battery systems.
• Familiarity with industry standards and validation approaches for energy storage.
