Advanced Engineering Manager (e-Propulsion)

Advanced Engineering Manager (e-Propulsion): Developing high voltage motor and inverter technologies for e-Propulsion platform hardware with an accent on cost reduction, efficiency, and performance. Focus on leading engineering teams from initial concept through proof of concept (PoC) and implementing technologies into production platforms.

Location: Must be based in Boucherville, Quebec, Canada and work on-site a minimum of 4 days per week

What you will do

• Lead engineers from initial concept through PoC testing to implementation on e-Propulsion platforms.
• Align technology roadmaps with product planning, sales, purchasing, and engineering organizations.
• Manage virtual engineering tools including CAE and CFD to support technology development.
• Oversee staff resources, capital budgets, and operational budgets to ensure on-time delivery.
• Manage intellectual property (IP) protection and generation within the engineering team.
• Collaborate with universities and industry partners on collaborative technology projects.

Requirements

• Master’s or PhD in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering.
• 10+ years of experience in detailed design of high voltage electric traction motor and inverter components.
• 3+ years of experience directly managing a team of engineers.
• 3+ years of program management experience handling complex, parallel tasks.
• Strong understanding of electromagnetics and traction motor topologies.
• Ability to work on-site in Boucherville, Canada at least 4 days per week.
