What you will do

• Own the end-to-end architectural design and technical roadmap for the product and cloud infrastructure.
• Lead and grow a senior team specializing in graphics, browser engines, WASM, and cloud systems.
• Champion and operationalize an AI-native engineering culture by integrating agentic and AI tooling into the full SDLC.
• Recruit, hire, and develop a world-class technical team with a high bar for AI-native working styles.
• Provide hands-on technical guidance and mentorship to senior ICs on complex systems problems.
• Manage the complete employee lifecycle, including onboarding, goal-setting, and performance management.

Requirements

• Prior experience in a senior engineering leadership role (VP, Head, Director) or a Principal/Staff IC role with architectural ownership.
• Deep, daily fluency with AI coding agents, LLM tooling, and agentic systems.
• Proven track record of driving team-level adoption of AI-native workflows.
• Experience working in a zero-to-one, venture-backed startup environment.
• Track record of shipping live products under rapid iterative development.
• Must be based in or able to work hybrid in Toronto, Canada.

Nice to have

• Hands-on background in graphics programming (WebGL, WebGPU, Vulkan) or low-level systems (C/C++, AOSP, Linux).
• Experience scaling cloud production infrastructure on AWS or GCP.
• Background in advanced compression, video encoding, or Mobile SDK ecosystems.
• Technical product management experience or a graduate research background.
