What you will do

• Lead, coach, and grow a team of Applications Engineers through technical direction and performance management.
• Manage the triage process and backlog for software and system issues reported from the field.
• Analyze robot usage and performance metrics to identify opportunities for product improvement.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Customer Success teams to resolve production issues.
• Conduct alpha and beta trials of new features across customer sites.
• Drive continuous improvement by automating workflows and leveraging AI tools for root cause analysis.

Requirements

• BSc. or graduate degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• 5+ years of industry experience in Applications Engineering or Technical Support.
• 3+ years of people leadership experience managing engineering or QA teams.
• Strong background in troubleshooting complex, production-scale application issues.
• Proven success partnering cross-functionally for product and feature rollouts.
• Must be able to work in a hybrid capacity in Kitchener, Ontario.

Nice to have

• Proficiency with Linux, C++, Python, and Bash scripting.
• Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS).
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and leading offshore or remote teams.
• Passion for mobile robotics.
