What you will do

• Collaborate with Development Engineers to produce preliminary AutoCAD site plans and design packages.
• Generate drawings including civil and electrical construction details for PV and BESS projects.
• Integrate and analyze field survey data to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Follow quality control procedures to ensure designs meet company standards and code compliance.
• Generate Bill of Materials directly from CAD drawings.
• Communicate proactively with the team to meet established project deadlines.

Requirements

• Must be authorized to work in the US.
• 5+ years of drafting/design experience in the solar PV or renewable industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• Experience working with shapefiles.
• AAS degree in Computer Aided Design and Drafting or equivalent.
• Basic understanding of electrical plans, diagrams, and terminology.

Nice to have

• Familiarity with civil and grading design.
• Experience with high voltage or substation projects.
• Knowledge of Eastern United States regional civil constraints (wetlands, floodplains, Karst topography).
