Senior Accountant (SaaS)

Location: Remote worldwide; location is not a requirement. Ideal working hours overlap with US Eastern or EMEA timezones.

Salary: US$98,000–US$118,000 annually, depending on location and cost of living. US employee gross salary: US$90,384.21–US$109,568.54.

What you will do

• Own assigned multi-entity month-end close workstreams, including journal entries, reconciliations, schedules, variance explanations, and audit-ready working papers.
• Manage bank and cash reconciliations across 20+ multi-currency bank and payment accounts, resolving open items and recurring breaks.
• Monitor subscription revenue flows from Chargebee to NetSuite and troubleshoot billing, ERP synchronization, tax, credit note, and revenue recognition issues.
• Maintain AP and spend processes in Payhawk and NetSuite, including invoice capture, entity coding, approvals, payment evidence, and synchronization exceptions.
• Maintain balance sheet integrity across prepaids, accruals, intercompany accounts, and other assigned areas.
• Document SOPs, strengthen controls, reduce manual work, and support accounting, tax preparation, audit, and ad hoc finance requests.

Requirements

• 5+ years of accounting experience with ownership of month-end close.
• Strong reconciliation and documentation discipline, with the ability to explain every balance.
• Experience working in an ERP; NetSuite is strongly preferred.
• Proactive communication, high ownership, and comfort working in a fast-moving remote environment.
• Ability to work with US Eastern or EMEA timezone overlap.

Nice to have

• SaaS subscription billing or revenue experience, especially with Chargebee.
• AP and spend tooling experience with Payhawk or a similar platform.
• Multi-entity and multi-currency accounting experience.
