Oracle Database Application Support Team Lead (Oracle): Leading and performing technical support and administration for Oracle Database platforms across 100+ customer environments with an accent on 3rd-line diagnostics, upgrades, and patching. Location: Remote or Hybrid (Must be based in the UK and have pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK)

What you will do
- Perform and lead Oracle Database upgrades, patching, and software deployments across on-premises and cloud platforms.
- Conduct 3rd-line diagnostics, performance tuning, and fault resolution for complex database and application connectivity issues.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to a team of analysts, serving as the primary escalation point.
- Engage directly with customers to manage priorities and provide recommendations on stability and resilience.
- Develop scripts and automated health checks to reduce manual effort and improve reliability.
- Collaborate with Networks, UNIX/Linux, and Cloud Ops teams to resolve cross-platform issues.
Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience with Oracle Database administration, including upgrades and patching.
- Experience supporting Local government customers using Revenues, benefits, or Housing solutions.
- Proficiency in installing and supporting software on Linux and Solaris.
- Hands-on deployment and support of Apache Tomcat-based applications.
- Eligibility for UK Security Clearance.
- Pre-existing right to work and travel within the UK.
Nice to have
- Oracle Certification.
- Experience with Apache Web Server configuration and support.
- Unix/Linux shell scripting skills for automation.
- Knowledge of networking concepts relevant to database and application support.
