What you will do

• Oversee daily news coverage for Ontario across multiple media platforms.
• Supervise and schedule staff at the Toronto head office and Queen’s Park.
• Assign and edit stories while ensuring a steady flow of original ideas.
• Liaise with other bureaus, the Managing Editor, and media clients.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing teams on client relations.
• Mentor and coach team members to achieve performance goals.

Requirements

• Strong background in journalism with significant management or supervisory experience.
• Excellent knowledge of current events and issues in Ontario.
• Proven track record in breaking news and basic working knowledge of media law.
• Proficiency in digital tools for news gathering and multi-platform storytelling.
• Ability to represent the organization professionally to clients and the public.
• Bilingual proficiency (English/French) is highly relevant given the nature of the organization.
