TL;DR

Inside Sales Executive: Managing and growing a portfolio of longtail academic publishing customers with an accent on renewal, retention, and upselling. Focus on building long-term customer relationships, identifying sales opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction through proactive engagement.

Location: Must be based in or within a commutable distance of Philadelphia, PA, USA. This is a hybrid role requiring at least 3 days per week in-office attendance.

Salary: Approximately $65,000 base + sales bonus.

What you will do

  • Proactively manage renewals and retention for a portfolio of longtail customers.
  • Identify and execute upselling and cross-selling opportunities for books and journals.
  • Conduct regular outreach via phone, email, and virtual meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Campaigns Manager to leverage promotional offers.
  • Track and report on key sales performance metrics and renewal rates.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to ensure customers derive maximum value from their purchases.

Requirements

  • Must have the right to live and work in the US.
  • Must be able to work from the Philadelphia office at least 3 days per week.
  • Proven experience in managing customer accounts and achieving sales targets.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to analyze customer data to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts.
