Accounts Payable Specialist (Finance)

Location: Hybrid (United States). Must be able to work onsite once a week in Bethesda, MD and travel to Owings Mills, MD for scheduled meetings.

Salary: $24.8 - $29.8 hourly

What you will do

• Process high-volume vendor invoices, purchase orders, and employee expense reports.
• Prepare and record weekly payment runs via checks, ACH, wires, and credit cards.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies in invoices, contracts, or payments.
• Maintain accurate vendor records, including W-9/W-8 documentation.
• Ensure strict compliance with company policies, IRS regulations, and SOX internal controls.
• Support audits, month-end close activities, and financial reporting.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of Accounts Payable experience in a high-volume, multi-entity environment.
• Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Thorough knowledge of P2P (Purchase to Pay) processes and best practices.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with ERP systems (Oracle Fusion Cloud preferred).
• Ability to work onsite once a week in Bethesda, MD.
