Senior Solutions Architect (Enterprise Networking)

TL;DR

Senior Solutions Architect (Enterprise Networking): Designing and developing complex network, security, and datacenter solutions for enterprise customers with an accent on pre-sales engineering and technical strategy. Focus on gathering business requirements, crafting high-level designs, and formulating hardware/software BoMs for large-scale infrastructure.

Location: Must be based in Southern or Northern California. Remote within CA, with up to 25% regional travel.

What you will do

• Develop high-level technical solutions encompassing hardware, software, licensing, and professional services for customers.
• Collect business and technical requirements to complete end-to-end full lifecycle network designs.
• Lead whiteboard conversations and create professional customer-facing presentations and product demonstrations.
• Generate Bill of Materials (BoM) and write Statements of Work (SoW) including professional service pricing.
• Act as a trusted advisor to clients to help drive their long-term technology strategies.
• Collaborate with Account Executives and internal sales teams to manage the overall sales process.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in enterprise-class network and security solutions.
• Proven experience as a Pre-Sales Engineer.
• Expertise in complex routing/switching (Cisco, Juniper, Aruba) and Next-Gen Firewalls (Palo Alto, Fortinet).
• Knowledge of SSE/SASE technologies, Automation (Catalyst Center, Apstra), and Observability tools.
• Experience with Data Center segmentation (Cisco ACI, VMware NSX) and SD-WAN solutions.
• Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent professional/military experience.

Nice to have

• Industry certifications such as CCDP, CCNP, or CCIE.
• Experience working within a Value-Added Reseller (VAR) environment.
