TL;DR

VP, People & Talent (Healthcare AI): Establishing and leading the entire people and talent function for a scaling healthcare AI platform with an accent on full-cycle recruiting across technical and GTM roles and building the foundational people operations infrastructure. Focus on scaling headcount from 28 to 50+, designing compensation and performance frameworks, and shaping the organizational culture from the ground up.

Location: Hybrid, must be in-office at least three days per week in New York City

hirify.global partners with MSK provider groups and specialty clinics to optimize care delivery and clinic operations using AI.

What you will do

  • Run the full-cycle recruiting process for engineering, product, GTM, clinical, and G&A functions.
  • Develop and execute outbound sourcing strategies to build high-quality pipelines for niche healthcare AI talent.
  • Implement core people infrastructure including onboarding, employee handbooks, compliance frameworks, and HRIS/ATS workflows.
  • Design and launch performance management frameworks and compensation philosophies.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to leadership on organizational design, team dynamics, and personnel decisions.
  • Define and protect company values and culture as the team scales.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of experience in high-growth startups with a focus on full-cycle recruiting for technical and non-technical roles.
  • Proven track record as the first or early people/talent hire in a company scaling from ~20 to 75+ employees.
  • Strong expertise in outbound sourcing and building talent pipelines without relying on agencies.
  • Generalist proficiency across people ops, HRBP responsibilities, employment law, and compensation benchmarking.
  • Experience using Ashby or similar modern ATS tools to build recruiting workflows.
  • Must be based in or able to work from the New York City office at least three days per week.

Nice to have

  • Experience recruiting in healthtech or other highly regulated industries.
  • Knowledge of multi-state employment compliance for distributed teams.
  • Experience building employer branding and careers pages from scratch.
  • Prior exposure to venture-backed environments and reporting people metrics to board members.
