What you will do

• Lead people management for 8–9 engineers, including 1:1s, performance reviews, and career discussions.
• Define technical OKRs in collaboration with tech leadership and support developers in achieving them.
• Drive improvements in developer experience (DevEx) and overall people development.
• Contribute to hiring, interview loops, and the optimization of onboarding and growth experiences.
• Maintain a 50% hands-on role, contributing to architecture reviews and legacy system modernization.

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Engineering Manager or Team Lead with a strong software engineering background.
• Confidence working in matrix organizations with separated product and people leadership.
• Proven ability to handle feedback, performance management, and strategic organizational topics.
• Fluent German and professional English.
• Must be based in Germany.

Nice to have

• Experience with Kotlin, TypeScript, PHP, Python, Spring Boot, Vue.js, React, NestJS, Symfony, AWS, and Terraform.
