What you will do

• Lead approximately 20 engineers and testers across three Agile teams focused on eReader software.
• Provide technical leadership from system design through to monitoring and incident response.
• Mentor and coach team members to support their professional development and performance.
• Collaborate with Product, Design, and Architecture teams to guide initiatives from conception to production.
• Continuously evolve team processes and optimize for a balance between product goals and technical health.
• Coordinate with other delivery leaders to ensure seamless cross-team collaboration.

Requirements

• Must be located in Dublin, Ireland or Darmstadt, Germany.
• 5+ years of experience in a leadership role within a software engineering team.
• 5+ years of experience as a software engineer, preferably with C++.
• Strong understanding of project management and best practices for consumer software products.
• Demonstrated ability to advocate for technical approaches and team needs in strategic discussions.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to have

• Experience with eReader or consumer electronics device development.
• Background in embedded systems, Linux environments, or Qt framework.
• Exposure to working with hardware partners or suppliers.
