What you will do

• Lead a team of engineers in building scalable backend and platform services for distributed systems.
• Drive the full development lifecycle to deliver high-quality outcomes, leveraging AI for team efficiency.
• Partner with Product, Design, and Engineering Leadership to align technical delivery with platform strategy.
• Guide system design and architectural decisions for services operating at enterprise scale.
• Mentor and develop engineers through coaching, feedback, and career growth support.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with infrastructure and security teams to ensure system reliability.

Requirements

• 5+ years of software engineering experience.
• 2+ years in an engineering management role.
• Strong background in building scalable backend or platform systems in cloud environments.
• Experience with distributed systems, APIs, and service-oriented architecture.
• Proven ability to lead teams through ambiguity and deliver high-impact systems.
• Location: Must be based in Santa Clara, CA (Onsite).

Nice to have

• Experience with security platforms, identity systems, or infrastructure security.
• Familiarity with certificate lifecycle management, PKI, TLS, x509, or ACME.
• Experience working on platform or control plane systems.
