TL;DR
Senior Space Electronics Systems Engineer (Aerospace/Electronics): Designing, developing, and qualifying mission-critical electronic subsystems for next-generation space products with an accent on radiation tolerance, subsystem architecture, and hardware reliability. Focus on coordinating cross-disciplinary interfaces, executing system-level test plans (EMI/EMC, thermal), and ensuring strict adherence to space-qualifying standards.
Location: Must be based in the USA (Centennial, CO). US Citizenship is required.
Salary: $130,000 - $180,000 yearly

What you will do
- Define and validate architecture for avionics, payload electronics, and power-distribution units.
- Evaluate and select COTS and radiation-hardened components based on mission specifications.
- Oversee prototype build, assembly, and production-grade manufacturing.
- Design and execute comprehensive system-level test plans covering electrical, functional, EMI/EMC, vibration, and thermal requirements.
- Maintain electronic interface control documents (ICDs) and coordinate resolution of cross-disciplinary interface issues.
- Mentor junior engineers and lead rigorous design reviews.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of systems engineering experience in the space industry (or 4+ years in a senior/lead role).
- Deep expertise in mixed-signal, high-speed digital and analog electronics design.
- Experience with radiation testing (TID, SEE) and mitigation techniques.
- Proficiency with Requirements Management Environment (RME) tools.
- US Citizenship Required.
Nice to have
- Experience with RF processing system architecture and testing.
- Experience with space-qualified microprocessors or FPGA families.
- Knowledge of system power calculations throughout the space design cycle.
- Familiarity with standards such as NASA SP-3008, ECSS-E-ST-20C, MIL-STD-1553, or SpaceWire.
