Staff Electrical Engineer (Aerospace): Leading the development of high-reliability electronics for aerospace and military applications with an accent on combined power and analog board design. Location: On-site in El Segundo, CA. Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance is required.
Salary: $150k - $210k (base)

What you will do
- Lead power electronics and analog board design for aerospace and defense systems, covering implementation, integration, and verification.
- Define design approaches for DC/DC conversion, power distribution, analog front ends, sensing, and control circuitry.
- Create schematics and perform simulations for mission-critical power and analog circuits.
- Guide PCB layout execution focusing on low-noise design, high-current power paths, thermal management, and shielding.
- Perform design margin evaluation, tolerance analysis, and failure analysis for high-reliability hardware.
- Coordinate technical details across RF, digital, embedded software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant engineering experience.
- Expertise in designing complex power and analog electronics for aerospace, defense, avionics, or space systems.
- Strong understanding of DC/DC conversion, regulation, signal conditioning, and power distribution.
- Experience with EMI/EMC mitigation and layout practices for mixed-signal board environments.
- Hands-on experience with verification, qualification testing, and production transition for high-reliability hardware.
- Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
Nice to have
- Advanced Degree (MS or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or Mathematics.
- Experience with Avionics platforms and low/high-voltage aerospace applications (28 VDC and 270 VDC).
- Familiarity with aerospace standards such as RTCA/DO-160, MIL-STD-461, MIL-STD-810, and MIL-STD-1275.
