What you will do

• Lead the definition and integration of the holistic mission platform baseline across hardware, software, and operations.
• Partner with Product Management to define end-to-end technical roadmaps for spacecraft platform families.
• Establish and release standardized capability baselines to enable seamless inheritance by Mission Lead Systems Engineers.
• Execute system-level simulation and analysis to ensure performance meets platform specifications.
• Drive Verification & Validation (V&V) and Test Like You Fly (TLYF) campaigns to harden platform baselines.
• Shape fault management architectures and operational concepts to reduce operator toil and meet SLAs.

Requirements

• M.S. or higher in an engineering field.
• 8+ years of experience in a multi-disciplinary environment, preferably with spacecraft systems and mission operations.
• Experience transitioning organizations from custom projects to standardized, reusable architectures.
• Extensive background in AI&T workflows and V&V strategies.
• Must be a U.S. person or eligible for export authorization due to ITAR/EAR requirements.
• Proven history of system integration for complex, software-intensive systems.

Nice to have

• Software skills in Python or Julia.
• Experience with remote sensing instruments and associated data pipelines.
• Familiarity with requirements management and systems modeling tools.
