What you will do

• Perform quality system evaluations and surveillance of new and existing suppliers to ensure compliance.
• Audit supplier quality management systems (QMS) for aerospace applications.
• Draft and maintain electronic records of supplier surveillance and evaluation reports in the ERP system.
• Analyze supplier defect trends and lead continuous improvement projects.
• Collaborate with Receiving Inspection to evaluate non-conformances and implement corrective/preventive actions.
• Review and approve purchase orders for flight hardware and vet new suppliers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
• 5+ years of experience in product assurance and quality systems, including ISO9001/AS9100.
• US Citizenship Required.
• Industry experience with assemblies, manufacturing, and PCBA (IPC-A-610, J-STD).
• Ability to travel (typically 15%, up to 40% of the time) for surveys and audits.
• Strong background in root cause analysis (5 Whys, 8D, Fishbone, Pareto, FMEA).

Nice to have

• Quality Engineer Certification (CQE) from ASQ.
• Experience with Agile, Six Sigma, Lean, or Scrum.
• Certification in GD&T or AS9102 First Article Inspection.
• Certifications for electronic assemblies (NASA_STD-8739.6, IPC-A-600, IPC-A-610, etc.).
• Proficiency with ERP systems.
