What you will do

• Manage nonconforming material dispositions and coordinate with MRB and sourcing teams to determine salvage or return outcomes.
• Lead 8D investigations using structured problem-solving tools (5-Why, fishbone) to identify and document root causes.
• Maintain supplier scorecards and issue/track Supplier Corrective Action Requests (SCARs).
• Provide real-time quality support on the production floor to resolve build and test issues and prevent line stoppages.
• Perform Statistical Process Capability (SPC) studies and analyze historical quality data from SAP.
• Conduct on-site supplier audits to assess process capability and verify the effectiveness of corrective actions.

Requirements

• BS in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering.
• 2+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering within a high-mix production environment.
• Proficiency in GD&T and engineering drawing interpretation.
• Demonstrated experience leading 8D root cause and corrective action investigations.
• Skill in using mechanical measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and CMM.
• Must be eligible to work in the USA.

Nice to have

• Experience conducting supplier quality audits or second-party assessments.
• Knowledge of statistical process control (SPC) methodologies.
• Familiarity with SAP ERP systems and MRB workflows.
• ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Certified Quality Auditor (CQA) certification.
