What you will do

  • Develop production procedures and manage the transition of components and module assemblies from development to full-rate production.
  • Lead production readiness reviews and refine manufacturing processes to ensure safety, quality, and efficiency.
  • Manage Engineering Change Notices (ECNs) and resolve manufacturing non-conformances using root cause corrective actions.
  • Design manufacturing support equipment and author detailed assembly instructions.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with design, systems, test, and quality teams to resolve hardware issues in real time.
  • Identify capital tooling needs and lead the effort to establish new production work center capabilities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering.
  • 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Proven ability to develop and qualify manufacturing processes for complex hardware.
  • Working knowledge of AS9100, ISO 9001, or equivalent quality management systems.
  • Must be based in or able to work on-site in Englewood, Colorado.

Nice to have

  • Experience in aerospace, spacecraft, launch vehicle, or satellite manufacturing environments.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools such as SolidWorks, CATIA, or NX.
  • Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
  • Familiarity with NASA or DoD manufacturing standards and ITAR-controlled hardware.
  • Experience with PLM/MES or ERP systems like Windchill, Arena, or SAP.
