Design Engineer (Manufacturing)

TL;DR

Design Engineer (Manufacturing): Leading drivetrain system and component projects for Medium and Large Track-Type Tractors with an accent on new product design, engineering analysis, and validation planning. Focus on resolving technical field issues, managing APQP/PPAP activities, and translating functional requirements into detailed design documents.

Location: Onsite 5 days a week in East Peoria, IL. Relocation assistance and visa sponsorship are NOT available.

Salary: $97,530.00 - $146,290.00

What you will do

• Lead new product design, engineering analysis, and validation planning for drivetrain solutions.
• Resolve technical issues across the field, factory, and supplier network.
• Manage deviation requests and lead APQP activities and PPAP reviews.
• Coordinate engineering tasks with process partners and support supplier development.
• Develop functional requirements and translate them into detailed design documents.
• Participate in proposal preparation, cost estimates, and technical reporting.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Materials Science from an accredited curriculum.
• Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) and Engineering (CAE) tools for simulation and testing.
• Strong analytical thinking for root cause analysis and solution creation.
• Experience in product design for manufacturing (MFG) and general product development.
• Must have valid US work authorization; no sponsorship provided.

Nice to have

• Direct experience in drivetrain component or system design.
• Specific knowledge of Track-Type Tractor applications.
