TL;DR

Associate Account Manager (Environmental Services): Expanding business within assigned geographic territories through the acquisition of new customers and upselling with an accent on consultative sales and territory growth. Focus on managing the full sales cycle, identifying new leads, and building relationships with stakeholders in industrial and manufacturing sectors.

Location: Pomona, CA, USA. Hours are based on CST or PST; candidates must be willing to work until 6 PM CST.

What you will do

  • Acquire new customers through prospecting, telephone/video calls, and periodic in-person sales presentations.
  • Manage the full sales cycle from prospecting and proposals to contracts, price increases, and renewals.
  • Grow revenue and profit through service changes, cross-selling, and penetration of assigned customers.
  • Coordinate customer needs with Operations and Customer Experience groups.
  • Develop territory forecasts and execute account selling strategies.
  • Identify and pursue leads with annual revenue targets between $20K and $40K.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Sciences, Marketing, or Management (or Associate degree with 1+ years of environmental experience).
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in sales or customer service, preferably within manufacturing or industrial markets.
  • Must be able to work until 6 PM CST.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Salesforce.com.

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of RCRA, DOT, and DEA regulatory environments.
  • Previous experience within waste management or environmental services.
  • Proven track record of achieving aggressive growth targets and sales quotas.
  • Existing relationships with C-level, Procurement, and EHS functions in retail or manufacturing industries.
