What you will do

• Lead the full carrier lifecycle, including procurement, contracting, onboarding, and performance management via structured scorecards.
• Manage 3PL partner relationships and build a tiered carrier portfolio to ensure capacity across all active routes.
• Oversee daily, weekly, and peak transportation planning cycles to align capacity with forecasted volume.
• Direct daily dispatch, in-transit visibility, and exception handling to protect on-time delivery.
• Partner with Product and BI teams to define requirements for AI and automation tools to replace manual coordination.
• Recruit and develop a high-performing transportation organization focused on accountability and scalability.

Requirements

• Proven experience owning transportation P&L and first- and middle-mile strategy.
• Expertise in carrier procurement and managing 3PL partnerships with strict SLAs.
• Ability to drive adoption of data-driven planning tools and automated operating systems.
• Strong leadership capability to recruit and manage a high-talent bar operational team.
• Must be based in New York, NY for in-office work.
