Location: Hybrid (Burnaby, BC, Canada)

Salary: 168,000 - 230,000 CAD per year

What you will do

  • Create large-scale superconducting integrated circuit layouts.
  • Use analytical and numerical simulations to model and understand devices.
  • Work with and improve custom software infrastructure for superconducting IC design.
  • Drive strategic IC design improvements and resolve systemic architectural limitations.
  • Set direction on design development and processes, balancing technical and project constraints.
  • Provide deep technical leadership and mentor engineers across teams.

Requirements

  • Post-secondary degree in electronic engineering, physics, computer science, or a related field.
  • Graduate degree with 6+ years of experience, or an undergraduate degree with 8+ years of relevant experience.
  • Significant experience in industrial or commercial environments.
  • Proven leadership in large-scale IC design and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of applied electromagnetic theory and programming skills.
  • Must be able to work in a hybrid model in Burnaby, BC, Canada.

Nice to have

  • Expertise in superconducting ICs, qubit design, or RF/microwave IC design.
  • Experience with EDA software development or quantum-mechanical modeling.
  • Proficiency with tools such as Ansys EDA, Keysight ADS, Cadence, Comsol, or WRspice.
  • Proficiency in Common Lisp, Python, and Cadence SKILL.
