What you will do

• Assemble, test, and maintain electrical assemblies ranging from power supplies to custom FPGA-based high-speed electronics.
• Troubleshoot and resolve issues across electrical, software, and cryogenic systems.
• Support system installations, upgrades, and maintenance in laboratory and field environments.
• Perform preventative maintenance and provide day-to-day engineering lab support.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, procedures, and test records.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify process and system improvements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Physics, or related discipline.
• 2+ years of experience in an engineering or laboratory environment.
• Legally authorized to work in Canada.
• Working knowledge of Python or C/C++.
• Basic understanding of FPGA concepts and VHDL or Verilog.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and electromechanical schematics.
• Ability to obtain and maintain required security clearances and U.S. work authorization for travel.

Nice to have

• Current or eligible registration as an Engineer-in-Training (EIT) or Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) with EGBC.
