What you will do
- Lead system integration activities across electrical, mechanical, cryogenic, software, and control subsystems.
- Define hardware/software interfaces, integration requirements, and system diagnostics in collaboration with the software team.
- Translate cross-functional needs into clear system requirements, test plans, and technical documentation.
- Support system bring-up, commissioning, validation, and sustaining engineering efforts.
- Investigate complex system issues, lead root-cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
- Participate in design reviews, FMEA, and engineering change processes to ensure system reliability.
Requirements
- Degree in Systems, Electrical, or Mechanical Engineering, Physics, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in systems engineering, hardware integration, or multidisciplinary technical roles.
- Experience integrating complex systems involving electrical, mechanical, software, or cryogenic elements.
- Strong technical writing skills for requirements, test plans, and troubleshooting guides.
- Willingness to participate in on-call rotations and travel occasionally to North America and Europe.
- Must be eligible to work in Canada.
Nice to have
- Experience with cryogenic, vacuum, or superconducting systems.
- Proficiency in Python, C/C++, or Linux/UNIX environments.
- Familiarity with compliance standards like CSA, UL, or CE.
- Current or eligible registration as an EIT or P.Eng. with EGBC.
