Company
provides high-level engineering services as a contractor for the JETS II contract at NASA Johnson Space Center.
What you will do
- Advise and provide consultation on M&P requirements for crewed and uncrewed spaceflight hardware.
- Manage materials selection, process control, qualification, and corrosion prevention across IVA and EVA environments.
- Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure M&P requirements flow correctly into spaceflight hardware.
- Develop verification and validation plans for new designs and support flight acceptance testing.
- Conduct hazard reviews, anomaly resolution, and re-flight assessments.
- Present technical findings to program boards and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Metallurgy, Materials Science, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Systems).
- Minimum 7+ years of related experience in Materials and Processes.
- Working knowledge of materials selection, corrosion prevention, electrical bonding, and failure analysis for space applications.
- Experience reviewing engineering drawings and specifications for spaceflight hardware.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident and able to pass a U.S. government background investigation.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.
Nice to have
- 10+ years of M&P experience for spacecraft.
- S. or Ph.D. in Engineering.
- Previous experience with NASA JSC organizations and human space flight system engineering.
- Experience directing and coordinating technical teams.
