What you will do

• Advise and provide consultation on M&P requirements for crewed and uncrewed spaceflight hardware.
• Manage materials selection, process control, qualification, and corrosion prevention across IVA and EVA environments.
• Review engineering drawings and specifications to ensure M&P requirements flow correctly into spaceflight hardware.
• Develop verification and validation plans for new designs and support flight acceptance testing.
• Conduct hazard reviews, anomaly resolution, and re-flight assessments.
• Present technical findings to program boards and coordinate across multidisciplinary teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Metallurgy, Materials Science, Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, Chemical, or Systems).
• Minimum 7+ years of related experience in Materials and Processes.
• Working knowledge of materials selection, corrosion prevention, electrical bonding, and failure analysis for space applications.
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings and specifications for spaceflight hardware.
• Must be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident and able to pass a U.S. government background investigation.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and strong communication skills.

Nice to have

• 10+ years of M&P experience for spacecraft.
• S. or Ph.D. in Engineering.
• Previous experience with NASA JSC organizations and human space flight system engineering.
• Experience directing and coordinating technical teams.
