Fullstack SDET (Python, JavaScript)

TL;DR

Fullstack SDET (Python, JavaScript): Building and optimizing automation frameworks for sports broadcast graphics, video processing, and cloud services with an accent on UI, API, and E2E testing. Focus on creating scalable testing patterns, integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring the reliability of distributed systems.

Location: Hybrid in Budapest, Hungary (2 days per week in the office)

Salary: HUF 1,045,000 – 1,567,500 gross per month

What you will do

• Design and develop scalable automation frameworks across frontend, backend, API, and data-driven systems.
• Create and maintain automated UI and end-to-end test suites using Playwright or Cypress.
• Implement automated tests for REST APIs, backend services, and AWS cloud-based applications.
• Embed automated testing into CI/CD build and deployment workflows to support efficient software delivery.
• Collaborate with engineers and product managers to align testing strategies with technical and business objectives.
• Perform manual and exploratory testing to uncover complex defects and edge cases.

Requirements

• Strong experience building automation frameworks using Python and JavaScript/TypeScript.
• Proficiency with Playwright or Cypress for UI and end-to-end testing.
• Experience testing REST APIs and backend services.
• Knowledge of integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and working with AWS cloud services.
• Must be based in or be able to work from Budapest, Hungary to support the hybrid model.

Nice to have

• Experience testing video processing or streaming applications.
• Exposure to computer vision, machine learning, or data-driven products.
• Knowledge of C++ and an interest in understanding backend systems.
• Experience testing desktop applications.
